Holiday Beauty Essentials at Hiikuss Hair Salon for Afro Hair in Camberwell

You’ve made it through the winter, the school run and the hustle and bustle of everyday life.  Now it’s time to kick back and relax and finally get that me time you’ve been waiting for!

But where do you start with giving your body that well deserved treat? Yep, you’ve guessed it the Hiikuss Guide to Your Holiday Beauty Essentials. And remember you don’t need to be going away to sun, sand and cocktails to enjoy our tips. In fact, you may not be taking a break at all, but grab yourself a few minutes, block out a little time in your diary and hey presto – It’s ‘ME’ time!!

So let’s make this easy. We’ll start with the head, shoulders, knees and toes!

Head

Well, this is the easy one and our area of expertise, where a simple appointment at Hiikuss is all you need, but we understand that sometimes you need to go it alone and if you are we’re always available to give you advice on products available for your hair type. If you just want to give yourself a quick TLC then why not try to get back to nature with Anita Grants natural hair care range. Indulge in an Anita Grant Rhassoul Deep Condishes or a Shea Moisture Peace Rose Oil Complex Nourish and Silken Shampoo and Conditioner.

Shoulders

Nothing quite tells us we need a break than a tired knotted shoulder.  The best cure for this is a break, but sometimes when that is not enough or you need that little bit extra then the right essential oils may be just the thing to get you back on track to normality. Let that floral smell of Lavender nurse you back to normality or if feeling a little anxious try a little Ylang Ylang.

You can push the boat out on this one or do it nice and simply with products infused with these essential oils or invest in a diffuser. We like the Anjou range from Amazon with colour changing lights to add to the atmosphere.

Knees

As we get older our knees rarely come away with no wear or tears so when you get a little time out it’s worth some time reevaluating how much time you dedicate to ensuring your joints are the best they can be. Knee pain is a common complaint so if you’re one of the unlucky many here are a few ideas that could help ease the pain; Slim down if you’re overweight, get more active – regular exercise keeps the cartilage well nourished and build stronger muscles around your joints. It can help your body absorb some of the shocks that normally goes through your joint when you move around during the day.

Toes

Holiday or no holiday, this is a simple one to maintain and will brighten up your day. Go crazy with some bright colours… paint each toenail a different colour if you want to or simply coordinate with your clothing, whichever you choose it’s one of the essential beauty tips to complete our head to toe of our Hiikuss Beauty Essentials.
