Hiikuss Hair Care Tips

February is typically known as the month of love, so we’re pleased to announce the launch of Hiikuss Hair Care tips blog, where on our website and Facebook page we’ll be letting you into our hair stylists top secrets to keeping your hair looking beautifully loved. From tips on when best to relax your hair after it being in braids to hair tips for natural beauty.

We start the first of our hair care tips:-

KEEP YOUR HAIR WELL MOISTURISED

heartBlack hair is drier and more delicate than other types of hair, and it needs lots of moisture to stay healthy. Look for black hair products designed to cleanse your hair without stripping off its natural moisture. Take a look at the range of products we use at Hiikuss.

GIVE YOUR HAIR SOME BREATHING SPACE BEFORE RELAXING AFTER BRAIDS

Putting your hair in braids is a good way to reinvent your look and to give your hair a break from chemical treatments, but remember this break should extend beyond the moment you take the plaits out. We recommend at least a weeks break before putting chemical treatments in your hair like relaxers or colour, longer if you can manage it.

YOU ARE WHAT YOU EAT

You are what you eat spells it out simply. Eat well and your hair will reap the benefits.  Find out the must-haves in your weekly food shop and don’t forget to drink plenty of water, which does not only help aid your healthy locks but does wonders for your skin.

GET TO KNOW YOUR HAIR

Recognise the signs of when your hair needs a break.  You may have had months of your hair in braids or weaves, so it may be sensible to give it a break or speak to one of our stylist who can advise on the best treatments for your hair and its current condition.
