If you’ve never used a deep conditioner before, then boy are you missing out. Regular conditioners are great for your usual hair regime but particularly for Afro hair a deep conditioner works harder to work its way through your hair shaft and injecting into it moisture and depending on your deep conditioner of choice it can also impart strengthening properties which your regular conditioner can’t reach.
Yes – a deep conditioner can take a little bit longer to carry out when done properly but (1) you are worth it (2) your hair will thank you for you… so do you really need any more reasons than those?
If time is an issue to getting a minute or two to do a deep-condition, then do what we’re good at!!! MULTI TASK. Pop your conditioner in, cover your head whilst you carry out other chores and then you’ll earn yourself a 2-4-1 with your chores – getting your chores done whilst encouraging stronger and healthier head of hair.
Don’t forget to set a timer so you don’t keep your conditioner in too long.
